Will getting a reverse mortgage affect my Social Security or Medicare benefits?

I am currently get Social Security and Medicare benefits but money is tight and I am thinking about getting a reverse mortgage. If I get a reverse mortgage will it affect my benefits?

It is best to consult your financial and tax advisor but generally, Social Security and Medicare are NOT affected. Although, some needs based benefits such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security income may be affected.
