Can a homeowner who has put their property in a living trust still qualify for a reverse mortgage?

Yes, you are welcome to put your property in a living trust and still qualify for a reverse mortgage, but the trust must be revocable if needed. The reverse mortgage lender puts a lien on the home, so they are first in line for the home only in the case of delinquency. If you make sure to stay current with your insurance and property tax payments, and the loan becomes due, then the home will go to whomever is designated in the trust, and the loan will be repaid however they wish.
